AZARET, NP · FOUNDER OF DIABETES REWRITTEN™
MY STORY
The nurse on the phone said the word "diabetes," and it sounded serious. The fear sat in my chest for the rest of that day. Quiet. Heavy.
That moment never left me.
Diabetes ran in my family, passing down from one generation to the next. I didn't fully understand what that legacy meant until years later when I became an Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist.
Now, I am bilingual, first generation, and entirely in your corner.
WHY I BUILT THIS
Closing the gap I grew up seeing.
I built Diabetes Rewritten™ for families like mine. Growing up, clear diabetes education in our language and rooted in our culture was hard to come by, and for much of the Latino community, it still is.
In my own practice, I see how little time there is to truly teach. This is my way of helping to fill that gap.
WHAT THIS SPACE IS
Diabetes Rewritten™ helps you make sense of the things that cause confusion: what your A1C means, why your morning numbers run high, how your medications work, and how food, stress, and sleep move your blood sugar day to day.
This space is not about perfection. It is about making health make sense.
WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT
Most diabetes information feels too clinical or too far removed from real life. As a first-generation Mexican woman, I know food carries meaning; it's how we gather, celebrate, and stay connected to home.
You deserve education that helps you understand your body without asking you to leave your family, your traditions, or the foods that matter behind.
WHAT I BELIEVE
Your numbers are information, never a judgment on your character.
🔸
Confusion is one of the biggest hidden barriers to change.
🔸
You deserve genuine explanations, not just a list of instructions.
🔸
Small daily shifts become effortless once things finally make sense.
🔸
Diabetes education should feel clear, respectful, and human.
WHAT I DON’T DO
Diabetes Rewritten™ is strictly an educational platform . I do not diagnose, prescribe, or replace your doctor or medical team.
